So here is the story...back in 1999 we obtained an original 1960's era Oh! de London recipe for the formula, accurate and absolutely authentic. The formula called for rich and insanely costly ingredients, in particular sandalwood, which was dutifully as our goal is to be as authentic as modern perfumery allows. And...a great many Oh! de London users did not like of formula. We had batched the solution at an 8% oil concentration level and it turned out too strong and perfumey. So Oh! de London version #2 was introduced at a lower 5% concentration level to allow the formula to breath more and...many users still did not like it, finding it heavy and dense and still perfumey. So we tore the formula apart, looked at each ingredient one by one, looked at the the batching process and re-validated the 1960's authenticity. All was accurate. And now to version #3 which will be unveiled this spring. It turns out that women who wore Oh! de London in the 1960's experienced it in a "splasher" form very very light, just a trace of fresh tingly clear sparkling sunshine. Reducing the concentration of oil down to just 1% re-created this sensation perfectly. Oh! de London Perfume has top notes of bergamot, Russian sage and Roman chamomile. Middle notes of Chinese geranium, clove bud, rose petal, violet, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang and heliotrope. Dry down notes of East Indian sandalwood, cedarwood, vanilla, oakmoss and vetiver.
